Lithograph

What is a Lithograph?

Lithography is a printing method based on the principle that water and oil do not mix. It can be used to print artwork or text onto paper or other suitable materials. Traditionally, an image was drawn with wax, fat, or oil onto a lithographic limestone surface or plate. Today, metal plates and other surfaces are also used in lithographic printing.

Perspective

Perspective refers to the techniques artists use to represent three-dimensional objects on a two-dimensional surface. These techniques create the illusion of depth and space, making objects appear as they do in the real world, despite the limitations of a flat surface. Common types of perspective include linear and atmospheric perspective.

Pencil

A pencil is a writing and drawing tool with a core of solid pigment, typically graphite or colored, encased in a protective layer of wood or composite material. Pencils make marks on paper by transferring part of the core pigment onto the surface.

Engraving

Engraving is a printmaking technique where a metal plate or surface is directly cut using a sharp engraving tool called a burin. The tool creates deep lines or grooves, which are then filled with ink. The plate is pressed onto paper with heavy pressure, transferring the inked image. This process results in a clear and precise print.
