Antonio Ballester Moreno

Owning a cabin in the countryside, Moreno finds himself inspired by the reclusive lifestyle there within the embrace of nature. This is further represented in his work through Moreno’s meaningful use of color. Yellow for light, blue for water, and the mixing of both to create green, for vegetation. Furthermore, shapes play a crucial role in his paintings. Circles for the moon and sun cycles, and triangles for trees and mountains. This simplistic approach to storytelling plainly displays the beauty of our natural world. Paintings such as his 2019 Azul, or 2020’s Planetas, are simple in their execution, yet possess a story and message so vivid.
