With the stamped signature and date, numbered on the reverse // Story of Red and Blue #6 by Keith Haring, created in 1989, is a limited edition lithograph measuring 22 by 16.5 inches. This artwork is part of Haring's iconic series characterized by bold black lines and simplified forms, reminiscent of graffiti and street art. The piece features the profile of a figure with a large blue patch, symbolizing hair, and a smaller figure positioned above, interacting with the lines that make up the larger figure’s profile. The use of minimal color—predominantly black with a single splash of blue—emphasizes the dynamic interplay between the two figures and Haring’s signature graphic style. The stamped signature and date, along with the edition number on the reverse, affirm the authenticity and exclusivity of this work, which showcases Haring’s exploration of human connections and movement through a playful and abstract lens.

What is East Village Art?
In 1981, Patti Astor opened the first art gallery in New York City's East Village, helping to launch the careers of various artists and musicians. The gallery started small but quickly gained popularity, contributing to the emergence of art movements such as Neo-Expressionism and Street Art in the area. The East Village became a hub for these new artistic expressions. However, the gallery closed in 1985 due to waning interest.
