Lithograph

What is a Lithograph?

Lithography is a printing method based on the principle that water and oil do not mix. It can be used to print artwork or text onto paper or other suitable materials. Traditionally, an image was drawn with wax, fat, or oil onto a lithographic limestone surface or plate. Today, metal plates and other surfaces are also used in lithographic printing.

Etching

Etching is a technique where a design is created on a metal surface by using a strong acid or mordant to eat away the unprotected parts of the metal, leaving the desired pattern in relief (intaglio). In modern art and manufacturing, different chemicals may be used depending on the material being etched.

Clay

Clay is a natural material formed when rocks break down over time due to weathering. Water carries the fine particles of earth, which accumulate as a soft, sticky substance called muck. This muck is collected, cleaned, and refined by removing impurities like rocks and adding sand to improve its texture, resulting in usable clay.

Pixel art

Pixel Art is a form of digital art created by placing individual pixels, similar to assembling a mosaic where each small piece contributes to a larger image. The style is often associated with nostalgia, as it draws on the techniques used in early video game graphics. Pixel art has seen a resurgence in popularity, both as a nod to retro aesthetics and as a distinct artistic style in modern digital art.
