Silkscreen

What is a silkscreen?

Silkscreen is a printmaking method that uses a screen made of silk or other mesh fabric. The screen is treated with a substance that blocks ink in certain areas, allowing ink to pass through only in the desired sections. Each color in the print requires a separate screen.

Mixed Media

Mixed media refers to artwork that incorporates more than one medium within a single piece. Unlike multimedia art, which combines distinct forms of visual art and often includes elements like sound, video, or digital media, mixed media focuses on combining traditional art materials, such as paint, ink, and collage. Mixed media art allows artists to achieve a wide range of effects and textures by layering and blending different materials.

Mosaic

Mosaic is an art form that involves creating images by arranging many small pieces of colored tile, glass, or other materials. These pieces, often numbering in the hundreds, are placed closely together like a puzzle, each piece contributing to the overall picture.

Glass

Glass is a transparent solid that varies in composition depending on the type. Artists use different types of glass to create art forms such as stained glass, blown glass, and various decorated pieces. Glass can be cut, textured, overlaid, engraved, and shaped in many ways to produce intricate and beautiful works of art.
