Original Signed Artworks & Limited Edition Prints For Sale

Burton Morris is a well-known American contemporary artist. His pop art works are similar to those of Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. The majority of his works are extremely colorful paintings that have the medium of either silkscreen or acrylic paint on a canvas. As with all modern art, his work is somewhere between the two realms of concrete and abstract.

« I am a post pop artist. I love to paint, draw and create imagery and icons that relate to popular culture. »
Burton Morris
Burton Morris’s specific style is one that is full of what appears to be cartoonist drawings with an emphasis on color. A common element that is within several of his projects is a heart; one painting featured a heart-shaped Earth at its center.

« It is important to be patient as an artist. I have been very persistent and patient in achieving a lot of the things
that have happened to me. »

He has done entire exhibitions on the coke bottle, where he painted several designs of different bottles as they changed throughout the years. One of Burton Morris's most famous pieces is a male photographer facing the viewer as his camera flash goes off, as if he is taking a picture of the audience. (Artist website) Read More

What is figurative art?

What is figurative art?

Sometimes known as Figurativism. It particularly describes sculptures and paintings clearly or specifically derived from sources of real objects hence they are representational as the name suggests "figurative art". This term is often used as a contrast for abstract art. However, since the coming of abstract art, this term has been used to mean any form of modern art with strong references to the actual/real world situation.
