// Mod. 6 by León Ferrari is a lithograph created in 2009, as part of a limited edition of 50 prints. This artwork features Ferrari's intricate, continuous linework, forming a dense, labyrinthine pattern across the page. The organic lines weave and overlap, creating loops, curls, and occasional recognizable shapes that seem to emerge and recede within the abstract texture. The composition invites a sense of meditation and introspection, as viewers become absorbed in the rhythmic flow of lines. Ferrari’s technique blurs the line between drawing and writing, offering an almost calligraphic quality that emphasizes his exploration of chaos and order within a single, unified field.

What is minimalism?
Minimalism is a style in music and visual arts characterized by pared-down designs and simplicity. It began in Western art after World War II, gaining prominence particularly in American visual arts. Minimalism draws heavily on aspects of modernism and is often viewed as a reaction against Abstract Expressionism, as well as a precursor to post-minimal art practices. Prominent minimalist artists include Agnes Martin, Donald Judd, Robert Morris, Frank Stella, and Dan Flavin.
