Dessin Infinie 30

Julio Le Parc Dessin Infinie 33 marker drawing featuring flowing red, green, and blue lines forming an abstract shape resembling lips, with curved lines above.

// Julio Le Parc’s Dessin Infinie 33 (2022) is a striking piece that uses minimalism and color to create an abstract and rhythmic form. The marker drawing features flowing lines in red, green, and blue, intersecting to form the outline of what resembles a pair of lips. Above the lips, shorter curved lines are scattered, resembling ripples or waves, contributing to a sense of movement and fluidity. The simplicity and elegance of the composition emphasize Le Parc's ability to create visual harmony and suggest motion through basic elements and color contrasts. This work continues his exploration of optical and kinetic art, focusing on the perception of forms and the viewer's interaction with the abstracted image.

What is concrete art?

Concrete Art is an art movement founded by the Dutch artist Theo van Doesburg in the 1930s. The movement emphasizes pure abstraction, focusing on geometric shapes and colors without any reference to the natural world or symbolic meaning. Unlike other forms of abstract art, Concrete Art is entirely non-representational and is based on mathematical principles and precise execution. It aims to create universal, timeless works by using simple, clear forms that emphasize objectivity and clarity.
