Lithograph on wove paper. Hand-signed, dated and numbered in red pencil. // Untitled (Man on Dolphin) radiates the exuberant kineticism that defined Keith Haring's graphic language throughout the 1980s. A single figure crowned with radiating energy lines rides a leaping dolphin above a jubilant crowd of smaller figures whose raised arms echo the upward thrust of the composition. Rendered in bold black outlines on white wove paper, the lithograph channels the artist's belief in art as communal celebration and universal communication. Every contour vibrates with buoyant momentum, transforming the flat sheet into a field of collective joy.

What is East Village Art?
In 1981, Patti Astor opened the first art gallery in New York City's East Village, helping to launch the careers of various artists and musicians. The gallery started small but quickly gained popularity, contributing to the emergence of art movements such as Neo-Expressionism and Street Art in the area. The East Village became a hub for these new artistic expressions. However, the gallery closed in 1985 due to waning interest.
