Engraving

Engraving is a technique where a metal plate or box is cut directly using an engraving tool. The sharp tool makes deep lines which are then inked and printed using heavy pressure. The image produced by the technique is clear.

Woodblock printing

Woodblock printing is a technique which uses a carved wooden surface to make an image on materials such as paper and cloth. Ink or paint is spread thinly over the carved surface. The wood surface is pressed against the material, which transfers the image.

Photogravure

Photogravure is a high-quality printing process where a photograph is etched onto a copper plate. The plate is then inked and pressed onto paper, creating fine art prints with a distinctive, detailed appearance. This method, developed in the 19th century, is celebrated for its ability to produce soft tones and rich textures, making it ideal for art reproductions.
