Keith Haring's

With the stamped signature and date, numbered on the reverse // Story of Red and Blue #14" by Keith Haring is a limited edition lithograph created in 1989, measuring 22 x 16.5 cm. This work showcases Haring's distinctive graphic style, featuring two abstract, elongated forms in blue and red, each with a simple, cartoon-like face drawn in black outline. The figures seem to engage in a silent, expressive interaction, capturing Haring’s exploration of human relationships and communication. The vibrant use of primary colors emphasizes their contrast, while the minimalistic design retains the playful and socially conscious elements often seen in Haring’s art. This piece is signed, dated, and numbered on the reverse, part of an edition of 90.

What is East Village Art?

In 1981, Patti Astor opened the first art gallery in New York City's East Village, helping to launch the careers of various artists and musicians. The gallery started small but quickly gained popularity, contributing to the emergence of art movements such as Neo-Expressionism and Street Art in the area. The East Village became a hub for these new artistic expressions. However, the gallery closed in 1985 due to waning interest.
