From the Rare Limited Edition of 38; Published by Pace Editions New York; Woodcut on Black Wove Paper; Excellent condition; Hand signed dated and numbered in the lower margin by Dine // A Night Woodcut by Jim Dine is a limited edition woodcut print from 1982, showcasing a bold, expressive heart motif rendered in contrasting black and white. Set against a dark, textured background on black wove paper, the heart appears carved and rugged, with sweeping lines and crosshatched details that give it a sense of movement and intensity. The rough, almost raw texture of the woodcut technique enhances the emotional depth of the piece, imbuing the heart symbol with a dramatic, almost turbulent quality. This artwork reflects Dine’s recurring exploration of the heart as a personal and universal symbol, blending intimacy with raw energy.

What is Neo-Dada?
Neo-Dada is a minor visual and audio art movement with intents similar to those of Dada artwork. While it revives some of Dada's objectives, Neo-Dada emphasizes the importance of the produced artwork rather than the concept behind it. The movement is considered the foundation of Pop Art, Nouveau Réalisme, and Fluxus. Neo-Dada is known for its use of absurdist contrasts, popular imagery, and modern materials, blending high and low culture in a way that challenges traditional artistic conventions.
