Woodcut, aquatint, etching and power tool drypoint in colors, on Folio Antique paper. Hand-signed by the artist, numbered, and dated in pencil. Carpenter 121. Dynamite by Jim Dine, created in 1998, is a vibrant mixed-media print that combines woodcut, aquatint, etching, and drypoint with power tools on Folio Antique paper. At the center of the composition is Dine’s signature motif—a large, rich red heart—set against a dynamic grid of multicolored squares textured with expressive marks and scratches. The background’s gestural energy contrasts with the solidity and warmth of the heart, evoking themes of love, intensity, and emotional layering. Produced in a small edition of 18, the work exemplifies Dine’s continued exploration of the personal symbol and material experimentation.

What is Neo-Dada?
Neo-Dada is a minor visual and audio art movement with intents similar to those of Dada artwork. While it revives some of Dada's objectives, Neo-Dada emphasizes the importance of the produced artwork rather than the concept behind it. The movement is considered the foundation of Pop Art, Nouveau Réalisme, and Fluxus. Neo-Dada is known for its use of absurdist contrasts, popular imagery, and modern materials, blending high and low culture in a way that challenges traditional artistic conventions.
