What is a photography?

Photography is the process of creating an image on light sensitive materials. The image is produced by using a camera, which has a lens that focuses on light either reflected or emitted from an object. These visible wavelengths are used to reproduce the image seen.

Neue Wilden

Neue Wilden is the term German artists used for Neo-Expressionism. In the 1970s and 80s, expressive painting re-emerged in Germany, with artists embracing intense colors and broad brushstrokes. The movement grew in opposition to minimal and conceptual art, favoring a return to raw, emotional expression through bold and dynamic painting techniques.

Epreuve d’artist

Épreuve d'Artist refers to the artist's proofs in a limited edition of prints. These are a small number of prints reserved by the artist for personal use and are typically marked with the abbreviation E.A. (épreuve d'artist) or AP (artist's proof). Artist’s proofs are usually identical to the regular edition but are often considered more valuable due to their limited quantity.

Lambda print

A Lambda print is produced using a Lambda laser printer, a technology developed by the Durst company. The Durst Lambda was one of the first printers to use digital laser technology to create archival-quality prints. This process, also known as a Lambda c-type print, involves exposing photographic paper to laser light, resulting in high-quality, long-lasting images.
