Stamped on verso by the Keith Haring Estate and bears the signature of Julia Gruen, executor of the Estate. Keith Haring’s Untitled (w/ Sean Kalish) #6 (1989) is an etching from the final year of his life, reflecting the immediacy and expressive clarity that define his late works. The compact composition centers on a simplified, mask-like head rendered in spare black lines. Asymmetrical facial features, a diagonally bisected face, and subtle textural hatching create a sense of psychological tension within an otherwise playful style. The figure’s small, abbreviated body contrasts with the oversized head, emphasizing caricature and directness. Printed in an edition of 33 plus 5 hors commerce examples, this impression is stamped on the verso by the Keith Haring Estate and bears the signature of Julia Gruen, executor of the Estate.

What is East Village Art?
In 1981, Patti Astor opened the first art gallery in New York City's East Village, helping to launch the careers of various artists and musicians. The gallery started small but quickly gained popularity, contributing to the emergence of art movements such as Neo-Expressionism and Street Art in the area. The East Village became a hub for these new artistic expressions. However, the gallery closed in 1985 due to waning interest.
