Stamped on verso by the Keith Haring Estate and bears the signature of Julia Gruen, executor of the Estate. Keith Haring’s Untitled (w/ Sean Kalish) #5 (1989) is an etching created during the final year of the artist’s life, reflecting his continued engagement with collaborative and improvisational imagery. Executed in his signature linear style, the composition features animated, interlocking figures arranged horizontally within a compact plate. Radiating lines, gestural marks, and simplified anatomical forms create a sense of movement and narrative tension. The spare black line against the pale ground emphasizes clarity and immediacy, qualities rooted in Haring’s street-based visual language. Printed in an edition of 33 plus 5 hors commerce examples, this impression is stamped on the verso by the Keith Haring Estate and bears the signature of Julia Gruen, executor of the Estate.

What is Street art?
Street Art is artwork created and executed in public spaces, outside of traditional art venues. It gained popularity during the 1980s graffiti art boom and has since evolved into various forms and styles. Common forms of Street Art include pop-up art, sticker art, stencil graffiti, and street installations or sculptures. Terms like guerrilla art, neo-graffiti, post-graffiti, and urban art are often used interchangeably to describe this genre, which challenges conventional ideas about where and how art should be displayed.
