Published by George Mulder Fine Art London -Suite of The Valley -Original etching on wove paper -Hand signed by the artist // Keith Haring’s Untitled VII from the Valley (1989) is an etching that captures his signature style of bold, expressive linework and symbolic imagery. This piece presents three intense, stylized figures positioned beneath a banner that reads Glowing Corn, surrounded by stars and radiating lines, adding an almost mystical or satirical quality to the scene. Each character displays distinct features, suggesting unique personalities or identities, yet all appear connected within Haring’s distinct visual language. The unusual theme and surreal presentation provoke curiosity, inviting interpretations about popular culture, commercialism, or even societal alienation. This limited edition etching, hand-signed by Haring, encapsulates his playful yet critical approach to contemporary themes.

What is pop-art?
Pop Art is an art movement that began in Britain in 1955 and in the late 1950s in the U.S. It challenged traditional fine arts by incorporating imagery from popular culture, such as news, advertising, and comic books. Pop Art often isolates and recontextualizes materials, combining them with unrelated elements. The movement is more about the attitudes and ideas that inspired it than the specific art itself. Pop Art is seen as a reaction against the dominant ideas of Abstract Expressionism, bringing everyday consumer culture into the realm of fine art.
