Inkjet print in colours, on Epson Premium Semigloss Photo paper dry-mounted to aluminium (as issued). Signed in ink on the original label affixed to the reverse. Published by Alan Cristea Gallery, London. Ika (2) (2011) by Julian Opie is a vibrant inkjet print that showcases the artist’s signature blend of minimalism and stylized portraiture. The faceless figure, rendered with bold black outlines and flat color fields, wears a striking blue dress and stands against a solid green background. With subtle detailing in the hair, jewelry, and folds of the fabric, Opie captures individuality without depicting facial features. The glossy finish of the dress contrasts with the matte backdrop, heightening visual impact. Printed on Epson Premium Semigloss Photo paper and mounted to aluminum, the work was published by Alan Cristea Gallery, London.

What is new British Sculpture?
New British Sculpture is the name referring to the work produced by a group of sculptors, installation artists, and other creators who exhibited together in London during the 1980s. This group included artists like Richard Deacon, Richard Wentworth, and Tony Cragg. Tim Woods helped define this movement by identifying four major themes: the blending of kitsch and pop culture, the use of UK urban waste in a bricolage style, the assignment of new meanings to everyday objects, and a playful approach using wit and humor.
