// Joan Miró's Serie Mallorca - Negro y Blanco VII (1973) is a limited edition etching and aquatint, showcasing the artist's mastery of line and abstraction. Created on Guarro paper and measuring 70.5 x 86.5 cm, this artwork forms part of a series exploring the duality of black and white. The piece is filled with expressive, spontaneous lines that intertwine and intersect, creating a dynamic composition of abstract shapes and forms. The monochromatic scheme enhances the dramatic contrast, allowing Miró’s characteristic surrealist elements—such as swirling patterns and whimsical figures—to stand out with intensity. This work exemplifies Miró's ability to create depth and movement through minimalism, reflecting his connection to the landscapes and culture of Mallorca. The print, part of a limited series of only 25 copies, is a rare and valuable addition for collectors and enthusiasts of Miró's oeuvre.

What is dada?
Also known as Dadaism, Dada was a literary and artistic movement that began in 1916 in Zurich, Switzerland. It emerged as a rejection of rationalism and nationalism, which were seen as contributing factors to World War I. The movement had political undertones and was strongly anti-war. Dada activities included demonstrations, gatherings, and the publication of literary and art journals that explored cultural and political topics.
