Plate 8 3/4 x 6in (22.2 x 15.2cm) Sheet 15 1/16 x 11in (38.3 x 27.9cm) Le festin, plate 6 from Lysistrata (1934), is an etching by Pablo Picasso created for Aristophanes’ comedic play and published by the Limited Editions Club. Executed with fine, fluid line work on Arches paper, this etching depicts a sensual banquet scene, rendered in a neoclassical style that evokes ancient Greek pottery.
