Screenprint in colours. Hand-signed, numbered, and dated. // A refined screenprint in colours by Bridget Riley, Around distils the artist's lifelong investigation of colour, rhythm and perceptual experience into a characteristically elegant composition. Carefully calibrated bands of colour generate a subtle optical vibration that shifts as the viewer's gaze moves across the surface. Hand-signed, numbered and dated by Riley, this edition of 120 epitomises the contemplative intensity and chromatic sophistication for which the Op Art pioneer remains among the most respected living painters in Britain.

What is Hard Edge Art?
Hard Edge art is a style of abstract painting that became popular in the 1960s. It features areas of color separated by crisp, sharp edges that are painted with geometric precision. The term hard-edge painting was coined by art critic Jules Langsner to describe this approach, which contrasts with the softer, more fluid forms of other abstract styles.
