2 colour lithograph on Somerset Velvet Warm White 400gsm - Signed, numbered and dated by the artist - Series: These Feelings Were True // These Feelings Were True II by Tracey Emin, created in 2020, is a two-color lithograph from the series These Feelings Were True. Printed on Somerset Velvet Warm White 400gsm paper, the artwork presents a striking, abstract portrait rendered in Emin’s characteristic loose, gestural lines. The face is partially obscured, with one side dominated by darker strokes, creating a sense of duality and emotional depth. The work conveys a feeling of introspection and vulnerability, with Emin’s minimalistic approach emphasizing the raw emotional content of the piece. Measuring 55.5 × 45.5 cm (21.9 × 17.9 in), this limited edition lithograph is signed, numbered, and dated by the artist. The dark, gestural strokes contrast with lighter, more delicate lines, drawing attention to the interplay between presence and absence, light and shadow, and emotional truth. These Feelings Were True II invites viewers into a space of personal reflection, exploring themes of identity, truth, and the complexity of human emotion.

Who are the Young British Artists - YBA
Young British Artists (YBAs), also known as Britart or Brit artists, refers to a group of artists who began exhibiting together in London in 1988. Most of them graduated from the BA Fine Arts course at Goldsmiths in the late 1980s. The YBAs are known for their wild lifestyles, use of unconventional materials, and a combination of entrepreneurial and oppositional attitudes. They dominated the British art scene in the 1990s and gained significant media attention. Many of these artists were initially supported and collected by Charles Saatchi, a key figure in their rise to prominence.
