Original etching. Hand-signed and numbered. // This contemplative etching by Atsushi Kaga explores the theme of living with plants, presenting a scene where human and botanical life share space in quiet symbiosis. The Spanish title adds a cosmopolitan note to the Japanese-Irish artist's practice, suggesting the universal nature of the domestic relationship between people and their houseplants. Kaga's precise etching technique renders each leaf and tendril with botanical accuracy while maintaining the dreamlike quality that suffuses his narrative world. The composition speaks to finding companionship and meaning in the care of growing things — a gentle parable about nurturing and coexistence.

What is pop-art?
Pop Art is an art movement that began in Britain in 1955 and in the late 1950s in the U.S. It challenged traditional fine arts by incorporating imagery from popular culture, such as news, advertising, and comic books. Pop Art often isolates and recontextualizes materials, combining them with unrelated elements. The movement is more about the attitudes and ideas that inspired it than the specific art itself. Pop Art is seen as a reaction against the dominant ideas of Abstract Expressionism, bringing everyday consumer culture into the realm of fine art.
