Qu'est-ce que l'inquiétante étrangeté?

L'Inquiétante étrangeté est un concept décrit par le psychologue Sigmund Freud comme le sentiment étrange ou perturbant qui surgit lorsqu'un objet familier est présenté d'une manière étrange ou inhabituelle. Les artistes surréalistes, qui cherchaient à révéler le subconscient et à le réconcilier avec la réalité, ont souvent utilisé ce concept en combinant des objets familiers de manière inattendue et bizarre. Cette approche créait un sentiment de malaise, défiant la perception de la réalité du spectateur.
