Original lithograph on paper - Hand signed by the artist // One Lioner by Robert Rauschenberg is a lithograph created in 2000, part of a limited edition of 200. This artwork combines layered imagery and collage elements, characteristic of Rauschenberg's innovative style. In the foreground, two figures, a man and a younger person, engage in an intimate, yet ambiguous interaction, surrounded by abstract shapes and a swirling mix of textures. The background features a stylized lion’s head in monochromatic tones, adding a surreal, almost dreamlike quality to the piece. Rauschenberg’s work often explores themes of human connection, memory, and perception, and One Lioner invites viewers to interpret the mysterious and layered relationship between the figures and the symbolic presence of the lion.

What is Performance Art?
Performance Art is a genre of fine art that is traditionally interdisciplinary, involving various art forms. It can be scripted or unscripted, random or carefully orchestrated, spontaneous, or meticulously planned, with or without audience participation. Performance Art can be presented live or through media, with the artist either present or absent. It typically involves four basic elements: space, the performer’s body or presence through a medium, time, and the relationship between performer and audience. The artwork consists of actions performed by an individual or group in a specific time and space.
