// Jacob Kassay’s Untitled 1/10 (Radikal) is a 2013 lithograph that reflects the artist's interest in media, memory, and the transient nature of information. This limited edition print features a reproduction of a Turkish newspaper page, possibly from Radikal, rendered in muted tones that give it a ghostly, faded quality. The print’s overlay effect and softened text suggest the passing of time and the fragility of printed news as a record of events. Kassay’s work often explores the boundaries of perception, and here he prompts viewers to consider the fleeting relevance of news media and the ways in which stories and images gradually dissolve from public memory.

What is minimalism?
Minimalism is a style in music and visual arts characterized by pared-down designs and simplicity. It began in Western art after World War II, gaining prominence particularly in American visual arts. Minimalism draws heavily on aspects of modernism and is often viewed as a reaction against Abstract Expressionism, as well as a precursor to post-minimal art practices. Prominent minimalist artists include Agnes Martin, Donald Judd, Robert Morris, Frank Stella, and Dan Flavin.
