Concrete art

What is concrete art?

Concrete Art is an art movement founded by the Dutch artist Theo van Doesburg in the 1930s. The movement emphasizes pure abstraction, focusing on geometric shapes and colors without any reference to the natural world or symbolic meaning. Unlike other forms of abstract art, Concrete Art is entirely non-representational and is based on mathematical principles and precise execution. It aims to create universal, timeless works by using simple, clear forms that emphasize objectivity and clarity.

Montage

Montage is a film editing technique where a series of shots are edited into a sequence to condense time, convey information, and manage space within the narrative. While it primarily refers to this method in film, the term can also be used in various other contexts to describe the assembly of disparate elements into a cohesive whole.

Ephemeral Art

Ephemeral art is a type of art that occurs only once and typically lasts for a very short period. It cannot be displayed as a traditional work of art in a gallery or museum. Examples of ephemeral art include performances, happenings, sound sculptures, flyers, and mass-produced items. This art form emphasizes the transient nature of the experience, existing only in the moment and often leaving no lasting physical trace.

Light Object

Light art refers to artworks that use light as the primary medium. These can include sculptures or installations that interact with the natural or urban environment. Light art can be suspended, in relief, ground-based, permanent, or temporary. There are two main types of light art: one displayed indoors in galleries and another exhibited outdoors. Light art has been used throughout human history, from ancient times to contemporary public installations.
