Glazed plate in Limoges porcelain. // A stunning porcelain plate where Delaunay's characteristic rhythmic colour vocabulary unfolds across traditional Limoges ware. Bold geometric forms in saturated hues—oranges, blues, and vibrant accents—create dynamic visual momentum. The work bridges decorative arts with modernist colour theory, proving that functional ceramics could carry the same innovative force as painting. Published by Artcurial, this piece embodies Delaunay's belief in colour's universal power.

What is Orphism?
Orphism is an abstract style of painting influenced by Cubism, developed by Sonia and Robert Delaunay. The term was coined around 1912 by French poet Guillaume Apollinaire to differentiate the Delaunays' work from Cubism, emphasizing their focus on vibrant color and light. The name Orphism is inspired by the Greek musician Orpheus, symbolizing the movement's lyrical and harmonious qualities.
