Screen print with quartz sand (terragraphy) in black on cardboard. Hand-signed, dated, artist's proof. // A dense field of black ink and quartz sand dominates the upper two-thirds of this large-format terragraphy, its surface rippled with visible granular texture that transforms the print into a tactile, almost geological object. Below, vertical drip columns descend into a zone of raw, spattered marks on exposed cardboard — the visceral energy of Nitsch's Orgien Mysterien Theater distilled into the printed surface. Hand-signed and dated, this artist's proof exemplifies the Viennese Actionist's lifelong investigation of materiality, ritual, and sensation.

What is activist art?

Activist Art is a form of art created to address social and political issues. It often involves public engagement and works closely with communities to raise awareness or inspire change. While it can include elements of performance art, it is not limited to this form. Examples include creating and distributing social protest posters or organizing community-based art projects that highlight specific causes.
