Doll in Chocolate. Hand-signed by Dieter Roth. Catalogue Raisonné Dobke 30. Untitled (Puppe in Schokolade) by Dieter Roth, created in 1969, is a provocative sculptural work featuring a doll encased in a cylindrical block of solid chocolate. Measuring 32 x 13.5 x 9.5 cm, this piece is part of an edition of 50 and is hand-signed by the artist. Roth, known for incorporating organic and perishable materials into his art, challenges the boundaries between sculpture, decay, and consumption. What is concrete art?

Concrete Art is an art movement founded by the Dutch artist Theo van Doesburg in the 1930s. The movement emphasizes pure abstraction, focusing on geometric shapes and colors without any reference to the natural world or symbolic meaning. Unlike other forms of abstract art, Concrete Art is entirely non-representational and is based on mathematical principles and precise execution. It aims to create universal, timeless works by using simple, clear forms that emphasize objectivity and clarity.
