Screenprint from a portfolio of seventeen screenprints, nine lithographs, two lithographs with screenprint, one photocopy, and one photograph. Hand-signed and numbered by Noland. From The New York Collection for Stockholm. Published by Experiments in Art and Technology, Inc., New York. // A screenprint by Kenneth Noland from the historic New York Collection for Stockholm portfolio, published in 1973 by Experiments in Art and Technology (E.A.T.). Noland's contribution distils his signature Color Field vocabulary — concentric rings or chevron bands of pure, saturated hue — into a compact and luminous graphic statement. This landmark collaborative edition of 300, conceived by artists including Warhol, Rauschenberg and Oldenburg, bridged the New York and Stockholm art worlds at a pivotal moment in postwar art. Hand-signed and numbered by Noland.

What is minimalism?
Minimalism is a style in music and visual arts characterized by pared-down designs and simplicity. It began in Western art after World War II, gaining prominence particularly in American visual arts. Minimalism draws heavily on aspects of modernism and is often viewed as a reaction against Abstract Expressionism, as well as a precursor to post-minimal art practices. Prominent minimalist artists include Agnes Martin, Donald Judd, Robert Morris, Frank Stella, and Dan Flavin.
