Shoe Box (1968) by Allen Jones is a multimedia edition combining seven black-and-white lithographs, a color screenprint, and a polished aluminium sculpture. Each component explores Jones’s fascination with the eroticized female form and the aesthetics of fashion—most notably the high-heeled shoe. Housed in a custom black PVC box titled EXOTIC, the suite includes a vividly screenprinted diagram on the inside lid and a sensually contoured metal sculpture shaped like a heeled foot. What is Surrealism?
