Irish artist Genvieve Figgis is known for her modern abstractions pieces using acrylics and vibrant colors to portray her renditions of classical pieces in a contemporary way mixed in with her own touch of dark humor. Know for her own version of Leda and the Swan, a piece created by Francois Boucher, which after being put through Genieves own lense of art creates an opposing scene the the lustful one we are accustom to.

After graduating from the Gorey School of Art in Wexford, (2006) with a Bachelor in Fine Arts as well as completing her studies in 2012 with a Masters of Fine Arts at the National College of Art and Design in Dublin, Genvieve Figgis was discovered by an American artist Richard Prince who saw her potential when she uploaded her art on Twitter back in 2014 to which she attributes to her being introduced to the international world of art in such a prompt way.
