Signed and dated on the front // KAWS' Blame Game (2014) is a bold and colorful screenprint that exemplifies the artist's signature style, blending pop art and street art influences. The composition features abstracted, cartoon-like figures with Xs for eyes, a hallmark of KAWS’ visual language. Bright, solid colors dominate the work—vivid reds, blues, yellows, and purples—giving the print a playful yet slightly disorienting feel. The layering of shapes and forms creates a sense of depth, while the simplified, almost graphic design draws attention to the interplay of color and form. The characters are presented in fragmented, overlapping sections, further emphasizing KAWS’ style of transforming familiar shapes into abstract, modern art. Signed and dated on the front, this limited edition of 100 with 5 printer’s proofs is a prime example of KAWS’ crossover appeal, blending fine art with popular culture.

What is pop-art?
Pop Art is an art movement that began in Britain in 1955 and in the late 1950s in the U.S. It challenged traditional fine arts by incorporating imagery from popular culture, such as news, advertising, and comic books. Pop Art often isolates and recontextualizes materials, combining them with unrelated elements. The movement is more about the attitudes and ideas that inspired it than the specific art itself. Pop Art is seen as a reaction against the dominant ideas of Abstract Expressionism, bringing everyday consumer culture into the realm of fine art.
