This impression is from Edition A, numbered 109/500 (numbering appears on the colophon). The print was originally bound in the book, with the binding edge still visible on the left. Hand-signed by David Hockney in black marker and stamped on the verso by the publisher. Printed on Crisbrook handmade paper, in excellent condition. // David Hockney’s Two Boys Aged 23 or 24 (1966) is an etching and aquatint from the artist’s poignant series Illustrations for Fourteen Poems from C.P. Cavafy. This intimate composition depicts two young men lying side by side in bed, their backs exposed, facing each other in quiet conversation or contemplation.
