Daniel ARSHAM | Falling Clock | Mixed Media, 2021 — available on Composition Gallery

Plastic, quartz. Not signed. // A wall clock with a classic black-rimmed face and red second hand emerges from — or melts into — a stretched, dripping white form that pools and elongates across the surface like an eroded relic. Arsham builds the piece in plastic and quartz so the clock still keeps time. Falling Clock is one of his most recognisable object-sculptures, the eroded archaeology of pop iconography translated into a domestic-scale wonder. A confident, narrative-charged acquisition for collectors of Arsham's celebrated fictional archaeology — and a quietly poetic conversation with Dalí's persistence of memory.
