Archival pigment print in colors with high gloss varnish and diamond dust on Innova Etching cotton rag 315 gsm fine art paper - Signed, numbered and dated in pencil "// Kenny Scharf’s 'Fuzzoodz' (2022) is an exuberant and fantastical archival pigment print that immerses viewers in a world of quirky, otherworldly creatures. The artwork bursts with vibrant shades of blue, purple, and green, depicting surreal figures that appear both whimsical and alien. The tall, elongated forms with animated expressions seem to float and sway within a lush, dreamlike landscape. Above, peculiar characters with large, exaggerated features hover, while below, curly lines and plant-like shapes fill the space, adding to the sense of playful chaos. The use of high gloss varnish and diamond dust adds texture and a shimmering effect to the print, enhancing the richness of the colors and the depth of the composition. Scharf's characteristic cartoonish style and fluid forms give the piece a sense of movement and energy, evoking the lively dynamism of a fantasy world. 'Fuzzoodz' exemplifies Scharf’s unique ability to blend pop culture aesthetics with surrealist visions, creating an artwork that is both visually captivating and joyfully imaginative."

What is East Village Art?
In 1981, Patti Astor opened the first art gallery in New York City's East Village, helping to launch the careers of various artists and musicians. The gallery started small but quickly gained popularity, contributing to the emergence of art movements such as Neo-Expressionism and Street Art in the area. The East Village became a hub for these new artistic expressions. However, the gallery closed in 1985 due to waning interest.
