Pigmented Ink Print on Moab Entrada Rag paper (290 gsm) // Blobosistic by Kenny Scharf is a vibrant and playful pigment print featuring Scharf's iconic cartoon-like characters. The composition is filled with swirling, colorful forms, with a dominant central red figure smiling broadly, surrounded by other amorphous, expressive figures in greens, blues, and yellows. Set against a black starry background, the figures appear to be floating in space, giving the piece a surreal and cosmic feel. Scharf’s use of bright colors and whimsical shapes evokes a sense of joy and humor, blending pop art with elements of science fiction and fantasy.

What is East Village Art?
In 1981, Patti Astor opened the first art gallery in New York City's East Village, helping to launch the careers of various artists and musicians. The gallery started small but quickly gained popularity, contributing to the emergence of art movements such as Neo-Expressionism and Street Art in the area. The East Village became a hub for these new artistic expressions. However, the gallery closed in 1985 due to waning interest.
