Engraving on Paper. The Shelling of Dubrovnik, 1993, August 2004 by Donald Sultan is a 2005 engraving that confronts the violent memory of war through abstraction and atmospheric intensity. This brooding landscape evokes the trauma of the 1991–1992 siege of Dubrovnik during the Croatian War of Independence. What is pop-art?

Pop Art is an art movement that began in Britain in 1955 and in the late 1950s in the U.S. It challenged traditional fine arts by incorporating imagery from popular culture, such as news, advertising, and comic books.
