The work, created during Smith’s residency at Pilchuck Glass School, reveals her characteristic style of detailed line work and organic textures. In this print, the face appears weathered and deeply expressive, with an almost spectral quality, as if capturing both the physical and emotional layers of the self. The loose and intricate lines that form the hair and facial features suggest vulnerability and introspection. This piece is a powerful exploration of identity and the human condition, rendered in a minimalistic yet impactful manner.
