// Sense títol II by Jordi Alcaraz, created in 2024, is a mixed media piece that explores the tension between form, material, and void. The artwork features a complex layering of translucent and opaque materials, framed within a simple wooden structure. The swirling shapes and abstract marks etched into the transparent surface evoke movement and fluidity, as if the medium itself is in a state of transformation. Alcaraz’s use of mixed media blurs the line between two-dimensional and three-dimensional space, inviting the viewer to explore the interplay between visibility and absence. This artwork, part of a limited edition of 14 plus HC, presents a delicate yet dynamic composition, offering a subtle commentary on perception and materiality.

What is Surrealism?
Surrealism began in the 1920s as an art and literary movement with the goal of revealing the unconscious mind and unleashing the imagination by exploring unusual and dream-like imagery. Influenced by Sigmund Freud’s theories of psychoanalysis, Surrealist artists and writers sought to bring the unconscious into rational life, blurring the lines between reality and dreams. The movement aimed to challenge conventional perceptions and express the irrational aspects of the human experience.
