Original lithograph on paper. Hand signed by the artist in pencil, Edition EA besides the edition of 100 Pc. Lust 102, Maeght nr 229 // Alberto Giacometti's Tête d'homme I, created in 1957, is a limited edition lithograph measuring 40 x 28 cm. This artwork, part of an edition that includes unique EA (Épreuve d'Artiste) prints aside from the standard 100, exemplifies Giacometti's mastery in using minimalism to convey depth. The sparse, delicate lines capture a man's face with a sense of introspection, rendered against a vast, empty space that heightens the viewer's focus on the solitary figure. This technique aligns with Giacometti's exploration of existential themes, inviting contemplation on human identity, isolation, and the complexity of perception.

What is Cubism?

Cubism is an art movement that aimed to depict multiple perspectives of objects or figures within a single picture. Artists Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso pioneered this style around 1907. The name Cubism emerged from their use of geometric shapes and outlines that often resembled cubes, breaking objects down into abstracted forms.
