What is Xiamen Dada?

Xiamen Dada was a Chinese artist group from Xiamen city, on China’s southeast coast. The group, coming to prominence in the 1980s, explored the relationship between Chan Buddhism and European dada, embracing the absurd while using chance to determine the artworks made.

Airbrush

Artist's device that sprays various media including dye and ink by means of compressed air. Some works of James Rosenquist ( Pop American artist) are products made by use of airbrush. He both worked as a sign and industrial painter. The huge F-111 1965 painting is one his famous works.

Embossing

Embossing is the technique of decorating or creating images with a raised design. Artists often change the shape of paper to create raised edges with many levels. The process is worked from the reverse side of the paper, using a template and sanded dowel.

Tapestry

Tapestry is a heavy handwoven textile which features complicated designs or images woven into the fabric. Tapestries are art pieces woven by skilled weavers using natural wool, linen, cotton, silk and silver and gold threads; used as decoration, insulation, and symbols of authority.
