Niele Toroni is a Swiss painter who paints with a style he defines as "Travail-Peinture." He uses brushstrokes made from a no. 50 paintbrush and repeats his strokes at 30 centimeter intervals at a perpendicular angle. Niele Toroni is credited with pioneering the practice of Travail-Peinture and has executed his works on cloth, canvas, gallery walls and floors.

What is Hard Edge Art?

Hard Edge art is a style of abstract painting which became popular in the 1960s. It included areas of color differentiated by the use of crisp, sharp edges which are precisely painted with geometric precision. Jules Langster described the art as hard-edge painting.
