Photoetching on cooper plate // Massimo Bartolini's Dust Chaser 2, a photoetching created in 2014, employs a minimalist approach to evoke the delicate presence of dust scattered across a seemingly empty surface. The artwork captures subtle traces and faint specks, giving the impression of minute particles suspended in stillness. Bartolini’s choice of medium and technique accentuates the transience and fragility of dust, a material often overlooked yet omnipresent. This piece invites reflection on the unnoticed elements of everyday existence, transforming the mundane into a subject of quiet contemplation. Through its understated composition, Dust Chaser 2 highlights themes of impermanence and the beauty of subtle details.

What is Sound Art?
Sound Art is an artistic discipline where sound is used as the primary medium. Like other contemporary art genres, Sound Art is inherently interdisciplinary, engaging with a variety of subjects including electronics, acoustics, noise music, psychoacoustics, audio media, video, film, and sculpture. Early examples of Sound Art include Luigi Russolo's noise intoners, as well as experimental works by Surrealists, Dadaists, and the Fluxus movement. These early pioneers helped establish sound as a legitimate medium for artistic expression.
