Wat is Kubisme?

Het kubisme is een kunststroming die erop gericht was meerdere perspectieven van objecten of figuren in één afbeelding weer te geven. Kunstenaars Georges Braque en Pablo Picasso pionierden met deze stijl rond 1907. De naam kubisme ontstond door hun gebruik van geometrische vormen en contouren die vaak op kubussen leken, waardoor objecten werden teruggebracht tot abstracte vormen.
