Marilyn Minter is an artist born in 1948 who has stayed popular with her works throughout the years. Her photographs quite often depict sexuality and erotic imagery. She doesn't digitally manipulate her works in any way. What you see is what you get. After her photographs are taken they are transferred into paintings on aluminum. Her first video, "100 Food Porn," was used as a television advertisement to promote her exhibition in New York in 1990. She refined her style and works in 1990 to still have pornographic undertones, but to mainly reflect glamour and fashion. In 2009 Marilyn Minter produced her second video, "Green Pink Caviar," which was later used as the backdrop on the screen during the opening song to Madonna's Sticky and Sweet tour. Her Pretty/Dirty exhibition is the first place where all of her works are showcased in one museum.
