Wat is Graffiti kunst?

Graffitikunst verwijst naar tekeningen en geschriften die op muren of andere oppervlakken worden geschilderd, gekrast of gekrabbeld, meestal in openbare ruimtes. Deze kunstvorm varieert van kleine tags tot uitgebreide muurschilderingen. Graffiti bestaat al sinds de oudheid, met voorbeelden die teruggaan tot het Romeinse Rijk, het oude Griekenland en het oude Egypte.

Deze Italiaanse kunstbeweging omvat kunstenaars uit Italië, België en Frankrijk die bekend staan om het creëren van openbare installaties waarbij recyclebaar plastic wordt gebruikt om massieve dierensculpturen te maken. Het kunstwerk onderzoekt de breuk tussen de synthetische en natuurlijke werelden, waarbij de plastic constructie het synthetische symboliseert en de dieren naar de natuurlijke wereld verwijzen.
