Identiek bedrukt aan beide zijden met UV-uitgeharde archiefinkt en afgewerkt met een transparante coating voor duurzaamheid, vangt de sculptuur de elegantie en zelfverzekerdheid van het onderwerp. Wat is Nouveau Realisme?

Nouveau Réalisme is een artistieke beweging die in 1960 werd opgericht door kunstcriticus Pierre Restany en schilder Yves Klein tijdens een collectieve tentoonstelling in een galerie in Milaan. Restany schreef in april 1960 het oorspronkelijke manifest, waarin de beweging werd uitgeroepen. In oktober van dat jaar ondertekenden negen kunstenaars, waaronder Martial Raysse, Yves Klein, Daniel Spoerri, Jean Tinguely, Arman, Pierre Restany en drie Ultra-Lettristen—Jacques de la Villeglé, François Dufrêne en Raymond Hains—de verklaring. In 1961 breidde de beweging zich uit met Mimmo Rotella, Niki de Saint Phalle, Gérard Deschamps en César. De beweging legde de nadruk op een terugkeer naar de realiteit in de kunst, waarbij vaak alledaagse objecten werden gebruikt en de grenzen tussen kunst en leven werden verkend.
