Anni Albers

Anni Albers (Duitsland/VS, 1899–1994) was een visionaire textielkunstenaar en graficus die het moderne weven revolutioneerde. Als belangrijke figuur binnen de Bauhausbeweging combineerde ze geometrische abstractie met traditionele technieken. Haar publicaties, zoals On Weaving, en haar innovatieve benadering van textiel verheffen het medium tot een kunstvorm die generaties kunstenaars inspireerde.
